The Lord is on His Heavenly Throne

Devotion Text

Psalm 11:4

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.

When discouragement barges through the front door of your heart . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you feel insignificant and alone . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When the stock market takes your financial future on a bungee cord jump . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you feel like tomorrow’s meeting is “do or die” for your career . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When your child jettisons the faith . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you feel like your spiritual journey is moving backward instead of forward . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you are waiting for the test results . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you are grieving the death of a loved one . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

When you are grieving the death of a dream . . . The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne.

God is always on His heavenly throne . . . and He never takes His eyes off you!

Father, thank You for the reminder of Your sovereign power and Your intimate care. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
