The Journey with Ron Moore

Jesus said that our heart follows after the things we really treasure and value. In what direction is your heart headed?

Let’s follow His example by forgiving others and ourselves.

As a young person (this instruction applies to young men as well) matures and becomes sexually aware, it is the parents’ responsibility to encourage proper behavior and restrict improper behavior.

There are some things in this world, and the next, which are seen only through brighter eyes…some thoughts that must be interpreted by a greater mind. Sad, isn’t it, when a person wastes so much potential? Hmm . . . but . . . I have the Spirit of the living God living in me. I have the resurrection power right in my person. What am I doing for the sake of Christ? How are life’s distractions keeping me from being all God wants me to be?

The question for today is the following: Are you bowing down before any god other than God? That god can come in the form of a person, possession or position. It may be something you are living with, living in or living for. Whatever it is, it’s a pathetic substitute for the real thing.

God is using every minute to mold you into the person He needs you to be for the next leg of the journey. God is at work. He loves you with unconditional love. He has given you an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.

How about you? Where are your tents pitched? What are you willing to concede for your “flocks to thrive”? Many are willing to compromise their reputation, marriage and family for the sake of power and possessions.

Jesus didn’t stay an infant for long. It was time for Mary and Joseph to prepare Jesus to become a “son of commandment” (bar mitzvah). At that age young boys were obligated to observe the religious practices personally. So Jesus made the trip for Passover. Two decades later he would make the trip again, one last time, giving his life on the cross.
