The Journey with Ron Moore

Is it because we can’t or won’t trust God that we place our trust in all this other stuff? I believe there is a big lesson to learn from Israel’s king, Ahaziah.

When life collapses around you…when you lie prostrate, beneath the weight of shattered dreams, a broken family or sagging finances, there is one lesson that will ultimately free you.  One truth that will light the darkness so you can see. That lesson—that truth is Ron Moore’s focus in this half-hour.

Don’t choose a king by his cover (or a wife, husband, friend, president for that matter). Beautiful bodies lose their lure when they house a shriveled heart.

In the story of Israel’s first king, we learn an important lesson: sometimes God answers our prayers, and we live to regret it. And from this lesson we learn an important application: be very careful what you pray for.

Jephthah’s tragedy is a lesson for us all. Trying to manipulate God always backfires. He will not be used.

Matthew 7:24-27 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it… Continue Reading…

Does your life resemble a train wreck waiting to happen? You’re hurtling down the tracks in full-knowledge there’s a bridge out up ahead. And yet you feel powerless to stop. Ron Moore has sobering commentary on your life, as reflected in one of the Bible’s most recognizable characters. Listen…learn…and live.
