It’s described as the most frightening book in the Bible.  Its majestic scenes and descriptive prose at once thrill and humble the soul. Today, Ron Moore begins a survey of this, the last book of the Bible, not merely to inform and enlighten but to change your life for good.

The spiritual journey is not a path for those with a proud, self-satisfied swagger.

In this section of Proverbs, He slams the hammer down with a series of admonitions. I see four important warnings in today’s passage.

Today is the day to humble yourself before God. Today is the day to seek His forgiveness. It is time to come back home.

Prayer is a personal conversation with God. It is not a laundry list of commands or must-haves. In the conversation with my heavenly Father, I can and should express my personal desires just like Jesus did. And, just like Jesus did, I should hand over my desires to the perfect will of God. That’s not a lack of faith. It’s called humble obedience.
