The Journey with Ron Moore

Uncertainty and doubt stall your Christian growth. It keeps you bound at the beginning of your walk with Jesus. At your second birth. Ron Moore outlines certain things that will release the chains and give rest to your uncertain soul.

Death followed Jesus throughout his life. From the moment of his birth, those in authority were trying to kill him. And finally, they did. But not as a helpless victim; Jesus voluntarily gave himself up for us on the cross.  He died in my place. He died so that I could live. Have you surrendered to the King? Or, like Herod, are you still trying to keep him out of your life?

The virgin birth, however hard to explain, is something we need to know. Every aspect of our faith and hope for eternal life hinges on this truth. If Jesus were simply a product of a man and a woman, His life and death mean nothing more than yours or mine.

Not everyone knew about Gabriel’s visit to Zechariah regarding the birth of John the Baptist, the one who would prepare the way for Jesus. But the manner of his birth to parents well past childbearing age, and Zechariah’s recovered speech left them “filled with awe.” They knew that this child was destined for a special assignment, “For the Lord’s hand was with him.”

The angel told Mary that her cousin, Elizabeth, who was well beyond childbearing years, was six months pregnant. As soon as the angel left, Mary hurried to the hill country. Seeing Elizabeth’s pregnancy confirmed to Mary that Gabriel’s visit was not a dream; she would indeed give birth to the Son of God.

Mark 14:17-21 When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.” They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, “Surely you don’t mean… Continue Reading…

Luke 10:23-24 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear… Continue Reading…

Luke 4:28-30 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. But he walked right… Continue Reading…

The One who created the world with just a word entered that world through a humble birth, to humble parents, as a humble baby.  Was it weakness in the face of his rebellious creatures that determined this meek arrival?  Or was it a power greater than the Big Bang? Listen… Continue Reading…

The road from Heaven’s glory to Christ’s birth to Calvary’s Cross and on to victorious resurrection was paved in shame and heartache. Ron Moore leads us down the broken path Jesus walked when he came to make us whole. It’s a story prophesied long before the first Christmas.
