The Journey with Ron Moore

This is God’s powerful promise to all believers: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

As believers, our purpose is to do great things for God. Our ambition should be to follow hard after Him.

Many believers think that as long as they are obeying God in the “big” stuff, all is well. But God calls for obedience even in the details.

He desires me to take a break. He wants me to get away and reconnect with him. And he must smile when he sees us enjoying food and fellowship with other believers.

If we’re to successfully scale the challenges of life we must be connected to Christ and other believers. Without a firm union to both, we will fall. Ron Moore helps us “rope-in” to our climbing partners so we can summit the peak together.

Community is an individual responsibility. The whole can’t grow into full fellowship without the committed participation of each one. Ron Moore offers five essentials for the individual Christian that can build up the larger communion of believers.

When believers read Scripture today it is the same Holy Spirit who teaches us. He takes the written word and helps us understand it and apply it to our lives. Have you experienced a passage that you’ve read countless times but it jumps from the page on a particular day? That’s the work of the Spirit driving a needed truth home.

When God the Son took on flesh, He accepted the limitations that came with a human body. He could be in only one place at a time, but God the Spirit has no such limitations. Jesus said, “He lives with you and will be in you.” As believers, we can live with confidence that God, through His Holy Spirit, will always be present with us.

John 14:1-4 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare… Continue Reading…

Matthew 23:15 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are. Jesus extended forgiveness and grace to the worst… Continue Reading…
