The Journey with Ron Moore

Hang on His Words

Luke 19:47-48

Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. He spoke with authority. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. Truth punctuated each syllable. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. He wrapped truth in compassion. People knew He loved them. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. His message was transforming and life-changing. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. He gently taught little children. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. He boldly confronted the religious leaders. People hung on His words.

There was never a teacher like Jesus. His words are recorded for us in Scripture. Real. Raw. Powerful. Life-changing. Transforming. Read them and hang on His words.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Word that is just as relevant today as it was when it sounded from Your lips 2,000 years ago. Lord, help me desire to read the Bible and hang on Your words. In Your name. Amen.
