God’s Dynamic Work

Psalm 144:12-15

Then our sons in their youth will be like well- nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets. Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the LORD.

God’s work is evident to all. Sometimes He stretches us with challenges. Sometimes He brings great blessing and joy. Sometimes His work causes us to sing a new, fresh and bold song. God’s work in our lives is dynamic, never static.

David noted that the people whose God is the Lord are blessed. Their young men are spiritually rooted like well-nurtured plants. Their daughters stand strong like pillars carved to adorn a palace. God fills their barns with food and their pastures with livestock. God’s work results in great blessings.

God is at work all around you. He delivers plenty of food. He puts a roof over your head. He gives meaningful work for sustenance and generous giving. God is at work in your life. Open your eyes! Don’t miss His great blessings.

Father, help me see You at work in my life. Make me aware of Your actions and help me respond with heartfelt thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
